International Results Report 2022

2022 presented many challenges. Conflicts, climate change, and an ongoing COVID-19 pandemic left hundreds of millions of people in need of humanitarian assistance in 2022. The Norwegian Red Cross and the wider Red Cross/Red Crescent Movement were on the ground in hundreds of countries helping people in need.

The war in Ukraine, the hunger crisis in Africa, and global warming – which threatens to impact the health of millions of people worldwide – are just some of the major issues we faced. The future is uncertain, but the Norwegian Red Cross and our partners make a difference to people’s lives every day. Together with our partners we reached over 2.8 million people with health services in 2022. From maternal care in Somaliland, to the emergency flood response in Pakistan the Norwegian Red Cross is committed to helping people in need.
